Logo Design

Logo's Today

Almost all corporations, agencies, services, products use an ideogram (sign or icon) or an emblem (symbol) as a logo. Most use a combination of sign and text to create their logo. As a result, only a few of the thousands of ideograms people see are recognised without text also. Therefore, it is sensible to create a logo which contains the symbol, and the business name, so that people will link the two.

There are many important things to consider when designing a logo. Essentially however, it is about creating something which incorporates images and the company name in order to emphasise the entire company, to create a ‘stand out’ amongst the competitors, and to make it unique within its marketplace.

Website Design

A web site is a collection of information about a particular topic or subject. Designing a web site is defined as the arrangement and creation of web pages that in turn make up a web site. A web page consists of information for which the web site is developed. A web site might be compared to a book, where each page of the book is a web page.
There are many aspects (design concerns) in this process, and due to the rapid development of the Internet, new aspects may emerge. For non-commercial web sites, the goals may vary depending on the desired exposure and response. For typical commercial web sites, the basic aspects of design are:
The content: the substance, and information on the site should be relevant to the site and should target the area of the public that the website is concerned with.

Search Engine Optimisation

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Typically, the higher a site's "page rank" (i.e, the earlier it comes in the search results list), the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimising a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results**.

The acronym "SEO" can also refer to "search engine optimisers," a term adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site, SEO tactics may be incorporated into web site development and design. The term "search engine friendly" may be used to describe web site designs, menus, content management systems and shopping carts that are easy to optimize.

This information is provided by Google and therefore is relevant to over 98% of all internet searches performed in Australia.

Provision of services relating to Search Engine Optimisation are:

  • Review of your site content or structure
  • Technical advice on website development: for example, hosting, redirects, error pages, use of JavaScript
  • Content development
  • Management of online business development campaigns
  • Keyword research
  • SEO training
  • Expertise in the Australian Marketplace

Keep in mind that the Google search results page includes organic search results and often paid advertisement (denoted by the heading "Sponsored Links") as well. Advertising with Google won't have any effect on your site's presence in Google's search results. Google never accepts money to include or rank sites in the search results, and it costs nothing to appear in our organic search results. Free resources such as Webmaster Tools, the official Webmaster Central blog, and our discussion forum can provide you with a great deal of information about how to optimise your site for organic search. Many of these free sources, as well as information on paid search, can be found on Google Webmaster Central.

It's a great idea to become an educated consumer and get familiar with how search engines work. We recommend starting here:

If you're thinking about hiring an SEO, the earlier the better. A great time to hire is when you're considering a site redesign, or planning to launch a new site. That way, you and your SEO can ensure that your site is designed to be search engine-friendly from the bottom up. However, a good SEO can also help improve an existing site.

Some useful questions to ask an SEO include:

  • Can you show me examples of your previous work and share some success stories?
  • Do you follow the Google Webmaster Guidelines?
  • Do you offer any online marketing services or advice to complement your organic search business?
  • What kind of results do you expect to see, and in what timeframe? How do you measure your success?
  • What's your experience in my industry?
  • What's your experience in my country/city?
  • What are your most important SEO techniques?
  • How long have you been in business?
  • How can I expect to communicate with you? Will you share with me all the changes you make to my site, and provide detailed information about your recommendations and the reasoning behind them?

We answer these questions here as related to Melbourne Website Design & Search Engine Optimisation

While SEOs can provide clients with valuable services, some unethical SEOs have given the industry a black eye through their overly aggressive marketing efforts and their attempts to manipulate search engine results in unfair ways. Practices that violate our guidelines may result in a negative adjustment of your site's presence in Google, or even the removal of your site from our index.

We look after our customers, and guarantee a first page listing on Google for 50% of your keyphrases.[1] You'll see a few SEO companies offering a #1 Google ranking. This is impossible to maintain and we advise wariness when hearing such claims.

We get you legitimate, HIGH QUALITY traffic which is RELEVANT to your product of services.

We will not ever put your business at risk by doing something that is considered "Black Hat" or Grey Area. Our business revolves around getting the right people to your website, doing the right things to make you money online.

100% of our Search Engine Optimisation clients are "in the black" (in profit / making money above our fees) on their websites! [2]
